Dear St. John’s Parishioners, January 1, 2025
Happy New Year!
This is my normal January letter and it comes slightly early! We will again have our 12 weeks of worship at St. John’s in 2025. Our summer season will begin June 15, 2025 and conclude Sunday, August 31, 2025 preceding Labor Day.
Our schedule of visiting priests is as follows:
June 15, 22, 29 and July 6: The Reverend John H. Barrett
July 13: The Reverend Barrie Bates
July 20, 27, and August 3, 10: The Reverend Paul Jeanes
August 17, 24, and 31: The Reverend Geoffrey Piper
Also, as noted in the Harbor Light of September 2024, the St. John’s 2024 Community Fund distributed $124,000 in grant funds to 14 eligible 501(c)(3) organizations, bringing the total distribution over 40 years to over $1.5 million dollars to the local community.
In addition, I am pleased to inform the Parish that Chip Everest will join me and serve as Co-Senior Warden this Summer which will be my final year. Peter Perkins will serve as Treasurer, succeeding Chip. Also, we are happy to announce that Pat Hemingway Hall has agreed to join the St. John’s Executive Committee.
